Hi I had my second Pfizer jab on Weds on Thursday morning my BS spiked at 12 from an average 6-7 daily reading. I felt a bit rubbish all day yesterday has anyone else had this reaction?

I had the opposite problem...low bgs for a few days. I hope it settles soon.

Probably just your body responding to the jab - somebody stuck a spike into your muscle and then forced liquid into it ! Intramuscular jabs are painful, even though the outcome is better health. Is why babies cry when they have them. Has your BG now reverted to normal?

My BG went high for weeks after my first jab on 11th Feb and I am still needing increased insulin doses to deal with it. I have my second jab next Wed and hoping it doesn't go up again. I had the Oxford AZ vaccine.

I had about a week of high BG after my first but only a day after my first.

I had slightly raised BG and my blood pressure was up for a week after second Pfizer and I felt c**p after for a few days but didn't feel like this after the first.

Hope things settle for you soon @Alist33

Anecdotally I get the feeling that a few people are finding more reaction from the second Pfizer jab, and less reaction from the second AZ jab.

I had my second AZ last week, and have had almost no symptoms from it at all. The first one was much more noticeable.

Had my 2nd jab and indulged in a bit of carb therapy to celebrate. Increase in BS to 8.2 decided it was as a result of AZ jab. But i have had 2 jabs. Hooray

Does DUK know why these vaccines are messing with BG levels? mine shot up to 17

Vaccines are designed to trigger the immune system yo develop antibodies and that can cause the liver to release an increased amount of glucose to fight what it assumes is a potential infection/illness in a similar way to your BG increasing when you are actually ill. It is just a natural mechanism not particularly specific to this vaccine, but people's responses will vary just like they do to other things.
It may be a good thing that our BG levels have gone up so high (I hit 19) as perhaps it indicates that our bodies have recognized the threat and are preparing their defense system. ie the vaccine is doing exactly what it is supposed to do.... or it could be that we have an immune system that is a bit jumpy and over reacts 🙄

Had my 2nd jab at 4pm yesterday and by 6pm my bloods had gone up but then I suspect that had a lot to do with the doughnut I ate and under valued it insulin/carb wise 🙂

No side effects at all this time and yet I was unwell for about 48 hours the first jab. Def far better than having Covid though.
