last couple of days have had hi bs and been drinking a lot but no keytones. During night started being sick. Have now got up measured bs and its 19.7 the lowest for couple of days also tested keytones whoops it went straight to ++++ I have a doctors appointment later and am scared that hes going to send me to hospital.

It's possibly a good thing Gail, if they can find out what's going wrong and help you sort it out. Maybe you need a different insulin or something added to what you have already. I'll be watching this space, keep us posted on your progress, yes?

Hi,

Are you still vomiting ? I am afraid it doesn't sound good if you have all those keytones, high BG and being sick. Could you phone your doctor for advice this morning ? You could be in ketoacidocis, these are the signs we have to look for in our little girl and quickly seek medical attention, we just go straight to the hospital ward if need to.
Hope you ok, tc.

Hi Gail it's good that you are going to the doctor for advice. I hope that he is able to help you without you needing to go to hospital. I will be thinking about you.

Hi Gail

If you explain your fears to your GP, do you think he might be able to sort out your ketones and high BG there and then ?

If not, he will only do what's best for you, with your fears in mind.

I'm sure the reality will be less scary than your fears.🙂

Hi Gail, great you are seeing the doctor. I hope you feel better soon and get the help you need without a visit to the hospital.

Hi Gail, Sorry to hear you are feeling so ill. Well done for getting the doctors appointment, you really need some good advice. As others have said, explain your fears about going to the hospital to your doctor and see if there is anything else he can do to help you. But on the other hand, the hospital will be able to make you feel better more quickly so it might be the best option for you. I hope you are feeling better soon xxx Hugs xx
