I have my scan this afternoon - why is it when you are told you can't eat that you think about food all the time? Usually I'm fine but today I am starving
Hope the scan goes well 🙂 I know, it's one of life's little cruelties isn't it? 😱 Bit unfair to have it in the afternoon isn't it, if you can't eat beforehand?

Not the best of times (2pm) but it was a choice of that or a morning scan which was a fair distance to travel. Hopefully my BG will behave until after.
BG down to 5 from 8 at 10.30 so not going too well! Looks like I'll be sipping Lucozade for the next couple of hours. Will have something nice afterwards 🙂
Hope all goes well for you. The thing that really annoys me when I go for a fasting blood test is someone is sitting eating and they know others are waiting for fasting tests
The scan went ok, I got 'told off' for having had lucozade, even though I rang up and checked that would be ok beforehand, but they were still able to do the scan. It showed that I have a cyst on my liver and that has grown since a previous scan a few years back, it was the first I'd heard of it today though. Anyway, it's not causing any problems at the moment but I may need it removing in the future. Basically, the sonographer thinks that the pain is probably due to stomach/colon problems so thinks I will be referred for an endoscopy but I'll have to wait to see what my gp says on that. Still don't know what the pain is but all-in-all good news today.
