My wife Recently spotted an advert on Facebook Screenshot_20250418_103257_Facebook.jpgthe web address is nhs-england.com.
I would advise caution at this time as it clames to be Diabetes UK however this address has no registration details on whois web register.
I have made attempts to contact Diabetes UK directly but be a bank holiday weekend i don't expect confirmation until next week.
I will edit post when I am updated.

Wow! that is a bit naughty isn't it! I am pretty sure that it is a scam advert and good that you have brought it to notice here on the Diabetes UK forum.

@everydayupsanddowns Are you able to flag this to the powers that be at Diabetes UK to take action?

It’s not possibly a scam, it’s definitely a scam, pretty hilarious really, reading the ridiculous claims. A watch that blasts your fat away with ultrasonic waves

I have emailed them directly but the more we can get the warning out before they have time to shut it down the better.

Unfortunately making and selling something that doesn't work is advertising, making unsubstantiated clames is dubious.
Claiming association with an organisation and using images you have no rights too become fraud.
We know have 4 Facebook users all pushing this site / advert, all claim to be Diabetes UK founders have no activity and 1000 followers so definitely a Scam.
Please circulate.

Thank you @Chester5. We (Diabetes UK) have been contacted on several occasions over the past few months on this particular advert and similar ones which use our logo. Here is our official response:

“We are aware that there are some adverts circulating on social media where our name is being falsely used to advertise ‘Fat burning and blood sugar balancing’ bracelets. These products aren't endorsed by Diabetes UK.

“We do not have evidence of the accuracy of these devices or if they have had robust testing in people with diabetes. Therefore we would not advise that they are used to manage blood sugar levels. If you see these adverts, we would ask you to report them as 'spam' to Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok or wherever else you may see them. Always go via diabetes.org.uk if you wish to purchase items from the Diabetes UK online shop."

Thanks for flagging @Chester5

I’ve taken the liberty of tweaking your thread’s title to make it clear it is definitely a scam. :(
