Relationship to Diabetes
Type 1
Had type 1 for over 20 years. Mixed bag of control over that time, but kept up with my sports and activities. Started using a Dexcom G6, and may get a pump soon. So will be exploring some of those threads.

How are you finding the Dexcom, hope you're finding it beneficial. Have you been offered a choice of pump as yet or are just thinking about it at the moment?

There's a fair few of us around on different pumps and a few Dexcom users too.

Hi, Dexcom 6 is fantastic, paired with my Applewatch can see my readings at a glance. Contemplating a pump but they all seem awkward in on way or another. I have choice of the Omnipod, Medtronic (possibly the 670 if I pay for the CGM bit), and medmin A6. I have no idea about any of them.

What seems awkward about a pump? I hardly notice mine and quickly got used to having it around. The cannulas once in lie flat and I just tuck the pump away in my bra at the side. My Libre stuffed in the front. Using these has really improved my management, mainly because I am able to alter my basal insulin hour by hour and also to make temporary adjustments. The Libre does what your dexcom is doing.

I am due for a new pump, my third one, in Feb. Thinking about a Medtronic 640, as I couldn’t self fund the sensors for 670 full time.
