just had the results back from my eye screening and it just says your results are satisfactory see you in a year.
does this mean it was good or are things starting to go wrong ?
could hve been worded better

I agree it could have been better worded Stacey, but I would take it to mean they detected no problems that would register on their scale. Usually, if there is anything vaguely worth mentioning it will be background retinopathy which can resolve itself - the fact they haven't even mentioned this is good news 🙂

satisfactory is good, it means there is nothing wrong. These letters are always badly worded. Firsttime I was told there was bacground retinopathy I was worried so I went back to the doctor who was a waste of time so I went to the opticians who was more reassuirng.

If ever you are unsure always ask. It is better to ask than ignore it and worry

Hi Stacy,
as others have said all is fine 🙂
Perhaps people need to write to the people that send out the results and sugest they word the letters better.
This was done in one area where a patient complained about the wording. The staff concerned had never given a second thought as to the effect a couple of words had on people.

If the letter was from Ofsted I'd be worried that you have something wrong! However, in the normal world 'satisfactory' means ok, fine, no problems, so I would think you have nothing to worry about.
