Is rye bread high in cho or really low gi.

I usually dont have a problem with sandwiches no matter what type of bread.

but i bought a type of rye bread with no cho data on it (didnt realise till i got it home). Very small but heavy/dense. So i guessed the cho thinking i would be over as they are tiny tiny pieces, 2 hours later im 15 😱

Any help with this type of bread appreciated, dont really want to throw the rest of loaf away.

According to Colins Gem Carb Counter the net carb in 1 slice of rye bread is 12g Hope it helps

Thanks Caroline, thats quite small.

Will check it out when i get home, hopefully there will be a weight with it as the slices were very small. I have that book too.

Well had again today, so as not to be defeated. My gem book said 30g is 13.7 so i reckon i did under dose yesterday!

Had for lunch again today, 7.0 start, 6.9 after 3 hours, so happy with that, another thing cracked.😉
