My HBA1C was 58 and I went onto 7mg Rybelsus 3 months ago with 2 metformin and 1 80g gliclazide a day and HBA1C has increased to 79 !!! Currently panicking that it is having no effect !

Still exercising 7 miles a day and avoiding sugar in diet

Has anyone else had experience of losing control of blood sugar after going onto Rybelsus ?

That may be your problem then if it is only 'sugar' you are avoiding as it is ALL carbohydrates which include sugar but also many other foods like bread, potatoes, rice, pasta, anything made with flour, tropical fruits as well as cakes, biscuits, sugary drinks as well as fruit juice.
Perhaps if you give some examples of your meals then people may spot problem foods.

I’m not familiar with Rybelsus myself but it’s a semiglutide meditation
I used to take a different type of semiglutide myself a few years ago, which helped me lose weight & at the time get a better control of my HbA1c (but probably due to the fast rapid weight loss more than anything else)
I’m thinking like @Leadinglights has posted you might need to take a look at what your eating

rather than panicking probably speak to your GP/ DSN regarding the medication you take
you’ve looked at what your eating,

Sorry to hear your HbA1c has risen despite your new medication @pauly4 :(

Rybelsus can help people to lose weight, and doesn’t generally increase the risk of hypoglycaemia on its own based on this page:

I am wondering if the increased risk of hypos from Rybelsus as a third-line medication alongside glucose-lowering meds like Gliclazide may be because it can act to reduce appetite, and assist with weight loss? Losing weight can make you more sensitive to insulin, and reduced appetite and smaller portions because of Rybelsus may result hypos if other meds aren’t adjusted?

Have you been eating less? Or noticed a reduction in your appetite? Have you been losing weight since starting on Rybelsus?

Tiny weight loss. No blood sugars control

Eating some of those carbs in moderation

It looks as if that particular combination of mediations is not working for you. But what foods are you eating as medication can only do so much.
I am surprised that you were prescribed all those if your HbA1Cwas only 58mmol/mol initially as for may diet alone would do the trick.
I am wondering if oral meds are not being effective then you may be needing insulin but looking at your diet would be a first step.
