I recently saw the recipe for this cake on Diabetes UK on facebook. I checked all the ingredients for the nutritional value and they were more or less the same EXCEPT for the sugar content. On the recipe it states the sugar content for a 97g slice as being 4.3g, however on checking I found this was actually 14g!!! The difference as you can see is staggering, and I would hate for someone to be so misled.

What a thing to get wrong! 😱

I know, I couldn't believe it. I can only assume they have left the '1' out in front of the 4.3g, but yes, what a thing to get wrong!!!

The carbs are given as 24.8g per 97g slice, which is probably more relevant if on insulin - when you say that you checked, who did you check with @mel62?

Welcome to the forum, by the way! 🙂

I checked it myself by looking at all the ingredients on the packaging. I even checked different brands and they only differed very slightly.
