Last night I ate rice pudding - I know I shouldn't because my BS always goes sky high and had decided I wouldn't, then gave in to temptation and ate quite a big portion! Gave extra insulin but BS still went sky high :( Makes me feel worse that my (Type 1) brother didn't give in to temptation and he loves it too! 😡 Naughty me.

How many carbs and when did you inject..........?

Depending on the fat content, that might have slowed the absoption of carbohydrates into your body and thus missed the peak of your short acting insulin.

Don't know about carbs, waiting for course. I injected before main meal.

Bummer, but your on an analogue like novorapid though......?

I would of suggested injecting 20 minutes before the meal, in attempt to match the digestion with the insulin action......

would love to sit on sofa with a tin of rice pudding to munch through, I would inject an extra 4 units for that myself! Hey we all have to be naughty sometimes! Just not too often 😛
