Type 2
Have been on forum previously when diagnosed with type 2 in July this year with a level of 54 and 53 respectively from 2 blood tests.

Went back for my 3 month check up and can happily say the level is down to 44 so no medication thankfully.

I made major changes in diet and have gone from 12st 4lb down to 10st 11lb.

The advice and support from people on this forum was amazing so thank you people. I think the real test begins now to maintain this level.

I have a question though if I maintain my current changes etc will the level drop even further say in 6 months??

Hi Stan, well done!
Yes I can well imagine you getting it lower if you stick at it, but one thing is certain, if you do not stick to it, then it will go up! 🙂

Well done Stan 🙂 Keep up the good work, it's more than possible to see further improvements 🙂 Important not to let your guard down but also not to become obsessed with ever-lower numbers - quality of life is important too 🙂 But hey - I bet you are feeling much better and healthier anyway, so why would you change that? 🙂

You'll probably get another check in a few months time - if you want to go lower than the number you see then, perhaps tweaking a bit more cauliflower a bit less potato sort of changes into your diet could help.
I can't promise though - I was eating 50 gm of carbs per day, and saw Hbaic of 41, then 42 - went down to a maximum of 40 gm of carbs and got 42, and a year later 42 - so either the needle is stuck or that is the level I run at. It seems good enough.
