After reading the range of responses to my original post (thank you to everyone). I tried coffee with cream this morning and agree with Jenny. It would be much better with scones and jam. My cholestrol level level is safe 😛.

LOL - though have to say - I do prefer clotted cream with the scones although whipped double is brill on trifle!

Definately salted butter on ( sultana) scones for me. Don't like clotted cream although like ordinary single or double cream, and I don't like unsalted butter

You type 1's are dead lucky - a sultana scone with a decent layer of jam, for us T2's who cannot have an insulin boost to cope, would shove our BG half way to the moon! At least it would mine. Enjoy.😉

It often sends ours up quicker than the insulin can get there too Doc - hence it's obviously a rare treat (if we happen to have an 'aporth of sense) so very important to eat it slowly and savour every mouthful !
