Hi everyone,

To take part please follow this link: https://qfreeaccountssjc1.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_e9fJrj2VsT3s4m2

My name is Rebecca and I am a trainee clinical psychologist who is doing some research with individuals with Type 1 Diabetes and struggle with or have struggled with disordered eating or an eating disorder. You may also hear this being referred to as Diabulimia or T1DE.

Currently therapy models and services are letting down individuals with type 1 and also struggle with an eating disorder, with many people being missed by services or viewed as ‘non-compliant’.

This research aims to start addressing these issues and help shape services. We want to explore with people how they feel towards their diabetes and eating disorder to try to understand people’s experiences. We are doing this by asking participants to write a letter to their diabetes, and a letter to their eating disorder.

This research has been set up with two individuals living with type 1 diabetes and an eating disorder and have gone and been let down by services many times.

Thank you so much for your time,
