What's the thoughts on reheating omelettes? I ask because I just used the microwave omelette maker and it was absolutely c**p! So only other option for a Monday would be to cook it earlier in the day and reheat when needed x

To be honest, never reheated an omelette.... however, I have premixed the omelette, leaving the mix in the refrigerator overnight & quickly cooked it up for breakfast the next day.

K - can't some of the other people in the house who for whatever reason you cook for - walk in the kitchen and dish their meals up - while you cook your omelette?

There's only my granddad on a Monday actually here at the same time and he's useless at all things like that 🙄 x

At work, after they have made the Omelette it goes on the hot top to keep it warm. So I guess conceivably you could put it on something and put it either in an oven on low heat, or under a grill on very low setting.

I've never actually cooked a omelette in a micro - didn't know that was actually possible!

Yes this is true but as I'm on my own it would mean starting everything rather early, to get myself tested and injected etc as I base my pre-bolus by my reading so its not the same amount of time every night xx

I either eat them cold, especially with ham.
Otherwise I use a microwave at half power or a frying pan.

Spanish omelette reheats nicely from cold in a micro. But that's got potato and onion in it.

It is possible to cook an omelette in a microwave if you are wanting something with which to effect a shoe repair.

Kaylz I placed this on another thread for you, try this only £15, I have one, its works well for me.

What is bad of and old and proven Nonstick aluminum or stainless steel omelette pan? If you don't have one, you can find them at a low price from open-air markets to Ikea.

I have a frying pan that is used to make omelettes thanks the problem is not having time to do one on top of the cooker, get everyone else's tea sorted and see to getting myself injected but having everything ready on time!!

I often make a large fritata (without the potatoes lol!) and reheat in microwave the next day and it's fine.

I cant my 85 year old granddad just tuts and checks his watch then I end up getting that frustrated and stressed I burst into tears! :( so yet again its just something else I have to go without when my diet is so restricted as it is :( xx

Depends on your microwave. I do 30 seconds, check, 30 seconds, check etc...

Yes no problem warming it up in the microwave for about 30 seconds Kaylz but it can’t be much fun having to be this regimented :(
