Have my 2nd HbA1c result tomorrow and my stomach is doing cartwheels; I am so nervous of what the outcome is going to be and more importantly having my blood pressure taken...its always high because of the nerves...

Any suggestions or mantra's for relaxing....Amanda x🙂

I take little notice of whatever my BP shows at the doctor's - it's always a lot higher than when I measure at home, so don't fret about that. I just show them my home readings.

You are going to do really well Amanda, so relax! What are you worried about? Whatever they say, it's not something you can change by worrying now. I've been reading about people's journeys here from diagnosis, learning about diet, losing weight if they needed to, starting regular exercise, for over 3 years now, and I can confidently say that you are probably one of the most dedicated people to the cause I have known! So be proud of yourself - you'll be grinning from ear to ear this time tomorrow, I have no doubt! 🙂

Fingers crossed you get results that reflect the work you have been putting in.

Agree with everything Alan's said! Good luck and let me know how you get on!

I agree too Amanda, you will be so happy tomorrow I expect, you deserve to be.🙂

I also now take my own blood pressure readings in as my BP is high at the Drs, but excellent at home.

Only tip I'd give is take your own reading material, as I can nver find anything I want to read in the pile of ancient magazines aimed at women & golfers in the waiting room!

I take me own reading material too, can't stand womens magazines.

We all worry about theses things, they are never as bad as we imagine.

Good luck Amanda and I agree with Alan - you have put in so much hard work, try not to worry. You've done everything you could.

Good luck!

Quit worrying!! :D

If it's good news, you will feel stupid for being so worried.

If it's not so good news, then roll your sleaves up, ask us loads of pertinent questions and get yourself sorted for next time!

I confidently predict the former though.

Andy 🙂

p.s. my BP is always too high due to white coat syndrome as well!
