I had dinner and went for a walk after it. Did a reading and got 4.7, which is good (I think). Bit concerned I might go hypo

What medication are you taking for your diabetes? xx

Hi Rosalind. As a type 2, a true hypo isn't something to worry about particularly. 4.7 is an excellent reading and I'm a bit jealous that mine aren't doing the same.

Ah right, what did you have for your evening meal? xx

On the other hand, I take it back with regards to gliclazide! You may need lower levels of it.

shephers pie
the full deal? With potato etc? If so I'd suggest getting in touch with whoever provides your diabetes care and make them aware of this as your Gliclazide may be needing reduced xx

It's worth keeping something with you incase you go too low. Is this a regular thing? If so, may be worth reviewing your management as you seem to be doing well but could do with a bit of an adjustment.

I am only 4 weeks into this and still learning

Oh wow, you've done well! Yes, I agree with Kaylz, track your numbers for a week and have a chat with your health care professional as there may be an adjustment needed.
