There will be carbs obviously in the sweetcorn and mayo, but I think DAFNE would say no. I might do a bit for the sweetcorn.

If it's all from a tin I'd use the carbs on the nutritional label. Otherwise, no insulin needed for tuna and salad, but sweetcorn needs some insulin unless it's a tiny tiny portion. However you may find that if you eat a carb free meal your BG level will still rise a little, as the body converts some of the proteins into glucose.
 
The tin should have the carbohydrate content on it. I always bolus for sweetcorn 🙂
 
Yes - I rarely need any for veg - but sweetcorn I do.
 
Well depends on how much 5g of carb sends your BG up, and what it is before you eat it.

5g sends my BG up by 1.5 so if my pre-meal BG was anything up to low 5s, I probably wouldn't bother. However if it was 5.5 upwards, I'd jab the half unit I'd need for the 5g.
