Hi

i seem to of been in a slumber through most of lockdown, and with spring + easing of restrictions I seem to of woken again. I’ve been so exhausted and couldn’t seem to find the energy to try to look for a way of eating that could mesh easily with hubby’s lifestyle (he’s not diabetic).
so I’ve bought the low carb book, made a meal plan that works well for us both (with me making low carb subs) and done the food shop.
im just a bit confused about the carbs on the recipes and can’t see an answer in the book - is it carbs per portion or carbs for whole recipe? If someone could clear this up I’d be very grateful.

im really looking forward (shop arrives at weekend) to feeling better and enjoying life much more. Im very grateful not to be starting a “diet” and feel that 130g of carbs a day will give me a delicious and easy way to live better.

thanks in anticipation

Yes I have noticed that some books don't say so it is confusing. I had to do a bit of calculation by looking up the carb value of the main ingredients adding them up and dividing by the number of servings. That should give a good idea. It may well be hidden in the introductory blurb. They are probably consistent so once you have done it for one of the recipes, it should be the same for them all in that book.

If you tell us the title and author, someone may have the same book and be able to help. 🙂

Sorry it’s the low carb book for the Diabetes.org low carb plan - I bought it as it was on offer (I kept getting emails).

Here it is! I just looked through it (again) and found a little line with the gram symbol, explaining the carb count is per serving.

sorry, I just didn’t see it, it wasn’t where I thought it would be in the introduction which i patiently read before getting to the recipes. I was attracted to it simply cos it is easy to build a good meal plan with that carb count. I just can’t face anything complicated right now.

im also a bit daft with technology, I tried to post a pic of the book as I couldn’t find the link . Needless to say, hubby helped me with my profile pic

thank you for all your replies and patience
