Hi girlies,
Do you Itch a lot?

about 5 years ago i was told that i was Glucose intolerent as i had all the symptoms of Diabetes but fasting sugar as 5.5ish but after a glucose drink it went to 12.something. My GP surgery was great, gave me some diet info and sent me away to be tested once a year. I managed to lose some weight and most of the symptoms went away apart from Itching down below and only at night when i needed the toilet, this is between 2 and 5 times a night.

When i moved to stoke i was told that there was no such thing as glucose intolorant, i either was or wasnt diabetic and refused to screen me yearly so here i am today..

Anyway the itching or more so the scratching is awful and sometimes i dont know im doing it but last night ive cut myself to bits.. is this a symptom that will ease once i get good bloods? it isn't anything like Thrush, just bloody annoying!

Sorry to go on, a bit embarrassing i know!

Hi , itchig is due to all the glucose in your system , you will find that as your

levels reduce the itching will go. You can get cream from the doctor for it .

It is one of the many symptoms of Diabetes .

Thanks guys, I was nervous about adding this thread!

I omly itch down below in the night, i itch on my legs if i go from hot to cold, ie, just got out of the hot shower, legs are itching, if i go swimming my legs itch terribly until ive been in the water for a while. and my arm pits itch but not all the time.

I am seeing the dr next week so will ask for cream.

I was told many years ago by a young male dr that i was wearing the wrong knickers and to change my pads more often, i wear cotton and dont wear pads at all! lol

Thanks again, off to work now. have a good day

Catch you later Julie 🙂🙂

I itched like mad for over a year, it took a test done at a wellness event at work to convince my GP I am diabetic.

Once the sugars come under control the itching will stop. In the meantime I found the only thing that would help was caneston for thrush

i have been told a thing called diflucan(fluconazole) can really help if a woman does have issues down there it kills off the fungi
