I was diagnosed with diabetes nearly two weeks ago and had an eye test yesterday and have a prescription for new glasses. I’ve been testing my blood sugars before dinner and two hours afterwards and most of my readings have been in the normal range or slightly into the high range, highest 11.3 after dinner. I am managing diabetes by reducing carbs, exercise and intermittent fasting.
Should I postpone getting new glasses for a while. The back of my eyes were looking healthy and when I said I had recently been diagnosed with diabetes I was asked if I wanted to wait before getting new glasses but said I would go ahead and wasn’t really discouraged from doing so. Have paid for the glasses and due to collect them next week, but don’t really want to if my eyesight is likely to change.
Any advice greatly appreciated
