If you are worried about hypos make sure you have some quick acting carbs handy. Obviously you must be having very high numbers to have an increase like that so try not to worry.
Only natural, keep an eye on your levels. When I changed basal insulin I tested every 2 hours and had jelly babies and choccy digestives to hand. Good luck xx
It does sound a lot in one go - why not compromise tonight and try half and see what effect it has? - other 4 units tomorrow night perhaps, providing the plus 4 doesn't prove disastrous?
(Have to say I've always been told to do no more than a max of 10% in one go)
Well took all 28 units last night and im still here loll, that was a tence night just waiting with Lucozade, jelly babies, black forest gateaux, took no chances, woke up at 9 this morning better but bot good enough
Glad you have no hypos to report Simon 🙂.
The waking reading is often the last to start to reduce, so just keep at it!
Keep an eye on your levels today to check the effects of the bolus increase though, and keep hypo treatments in reach.
