Oh wow thank you all for your responses it's so nice to have advice from people that understand it first hand. We have to go to pump school to learn how to use the pump safely etc so may still be a few months away before she has her "pink" pump and I can say goodbye to 02.00 insulin injections

Do buy the book pumping insulin by John Walsh, it's known as the pumpers Bible and worth it's weight in gold. The book can be found on Amazon.
 
Pumps are good . so much more adjustable to the individual. Good luck & welcome 🙂
 
I'm with @trophywench on pink! My 640g is purple at the moment. Luckily I don't do dresses very often. I much prefer the 640g to the Insight - seems like greased lightning in comparison😱🙂
The only annoying thing about the 640 is that you can't solely control it with the BG meter!! x
