Got a phone call from the DSN to say that my bloods were not back yet so the Doctor has said that I need not go on Thursday to get the pump. They will send me another time to go when the Doctor comes back off holiday. It will be end of September or October now.
Well I was just getting round to thinking this is going to be good could not wate untill Thursday and now this.
They have had the bloods for 2 weeks and they do the tests at the same Hospital and its not that big of a place. They are usualy back in a week so a bit................. carnt say what but you can gess.😡

I can guess :( What a disappointment, and seemingly for a trivial reason/excuse. Where on earth is the doctor going on holiday? Mars? 🙄

Thats what I thought and when I said should I come and see you in the meantime as things are not that good she just said lower your ratios and ring if you have a problum. Witch I have but she dident seem to think so BUMMER

How disappointing..

Can I ask what has your bloods got to do with determining when you start pumping.

As that sounds a very lame excuse in my books, as there isn't anything as far as I know a blood test would prevent you going on the pump!

Good point Ellie! Why should a blood test make any difference? It shouldn't!

When they took the blood 2 weeks ago they said it was to make sure that I had no infections thought it was a bit daft at the time but this Doctor dost that she is new never seen her before

Grandma

That's a first..

If you happen to have an infection it would have to be pretty serious to stop you going onto a pump...

As I said on your other post, I think that they are fobbing you off with all this...

ye me to but hope not now that I have my head around getting one I carnt wate

Surely they could chase your blood results from the labs if they were that important in determining you starting the pump ? I would speak again with DSN, must be so disappointing for you. Hope you can get something sorted 🙂

Sorry to hear that Grandma... so frustrating! :(
