Pump Budget Approved

Its amazing how quickly things can move when your expectations are low.

2 weeks ago I saw the consultant who seemed to indicate that my request for a pump budget had been returned for more information to support the improve life claim. This seemed a difficult request as I'm the only diabetic due to pancreas removal in the health authority.

Today the pump specialist nurse called to say the budget was approved and set up an appointment for 15 October.

Within the hour animas called to confirm that the consumables would be delivered this Friday.

Looking forward to a new challenge.

Congratulations Martin! I'm still waiting to hear from the pump people at the hospital, but my consultant said they have had meetings recently, so here's hoping!

That is excellent news Martin. I have been assessed and told I will get a pump but it will take up until next summer before one is available. I should live that long lol. I hope you manage well with it and that it takes your diabetes where you want it to go.
