I think this is just another example of how people deal with things differently, it maybe because my diagnosis was when I was 66 and by that time in my life there had been many things that were more stressful than the diagnosis.
I know not everybody copes and there should be help for those who struggle but in days gone by there was support from family, more so than now.
The support given to my Mum after my Dad passed away when I was 13 was antidepressants and Electric Shock Therapy which was brutal.
