Relationship to Diabetes
Type 1
by Richard L. Rubin, June Biermann, Barbara Toohey

OK, so you've guessed it my main problem with Type 1 Diabetes is psychological - I have only one very minor complication after 37 years I found this book a lifesaver in addressing issues not covered in other diabetes books. Rather than give diet and exercise tips, it discusses the psychological battle that occurs when one is struggling to cope with diabetes, and it provides insight on how to deal with issues such as denial, anger, depression, grief, fear, frustration and guilt. Again this book is old, from the US but still relevant

I found this book really helpful - and have loaned it to a couple of people too..x
