I have been made aware that having this can make your Cholesterol levels higher, no wonder I was 8 this time around, I find this all very worrying as have had this in urine for a year or so now and they originally said it was not from where I said it was, they also could not identify it and said my samples were normal. I was convinced it was also Candida and some of the diabetic team would have agreed with this.

This has just come up with my HBA1c tests, has anyone here had anything like this and have they managed to have it resolved?

Well, I didn’t reply because I didn’t understand the question. What is the ‘this’ in the first sentence?

I read it last night, but since I know absolutely nothing about it, didn't reply.

I can’t find any single condition that causes proteinuria and high cholesterol. The causes of proteinuria are many, but usually relate to disordered kidney function, diabetes being one of the many causes of that. High cholesterol is sometimes familial, though that is associated with much higher numbers. Otherwise, it may be dietary. Kidney problems have no effect on cholesterol levels.

The picture changes if there is any blood along with the protein in the urine.
