Good morning all - This is my first post here so apologies if it's not in the right place!

I'm looking for some advice - I started a new Freestyle Libre sensor last night and all seemed well.

After giving it the 60 minutes I did a scan to check my levels and had a message saying "Please check your sensor. If it is loose from your skin, please remove the sensor and start a new one. It it is applied properly, try starting the sensor again"

As far as I can tell it's not an issue of where I've placed it nor does it look like it's loose (In fact it looks to be very secure!)

Has anyone had this happen before and got it working? I've tried scanning with both the reader and the mobile app several times and both have the same message.

Appreciate any help that you can all give me!

Sounds like it is duff , ring Abbott they will most probably replace for you.

Possibly a faulty sensor? Try giving Abbott a call, they're really good. They'll talk you through things and if they think its faulty will replace it for free. Only takes a couple of days to come. If they think it is faulty they may ask you to send it back but will provide pre paid special envelope for this.

Ha @grovesy great minds think alike!

I have had it a while ago. Though had 2 sensors fall off Thursday before the hour , replacements on the way.

Echo what grovesy and freesia say, it isn't going to work so just report it, could be faulty itself or the filament has bent on insertion xx

Thanks all, appreciate the quick responses!
I had a feeling that was the case but was hoping there might be some trick to getting it working.

I had to get a replacement sensor before (The moment I stamped it on it fell straight off and I started bleeding everywhere - Not a fun time!) and they were super helpful then so will do the same now.

Thanks again all!

I rang yesterday and was dealt within 5 minute.
