Probably type 1.5

Have they talked to you about the different types of diabetes you could have. It's not just as simple as type 1 or type 2. There is also LADA and MODY (also known as type 1.5). When I went for my appointment only my anti GAD came back as positive they did a score for MODY which was less than 1% chance but cos I had a positive GAD they are treating me as LADA my other results came back as N/A but they are retesting me in September.
Maybe ask them the question if it's MODY. As I know one of the antibody tests is for that diagnosis. I hope you get some answers soon. It's really hard to accept something when no-one really knows for sure.
Now I have had a positive result on 2 separate antibody tests, I am being referred to the diabetes team, at the hospital.

It will be interesting to see how much insulin by body is actually producing. The Libre sensor is suggesting my estimated A1C is 5.9%. That is after having the sensor in for 65 days. It was 11.4% , seven weeks ago. The sensor is suggesting that over the last 2 weeks, my average glucose has been 5.3 mmol/L. That is within the range for a non diabetic person (I think). I have not taken any meds, I have been taking a few supplements, eaten a bit more sensibly, tried to get more sleep and been the gym a little more often.

It all seems a little strange.

When i was diagnoses, one of the tests was for my own insulin production (as for type 2 this will typically be high)...you may have had that test too, if you look into all your result

I have not had that test yet.

Just had a letter back from the diabetes specialist, here in Somerset. They have accepted my referral from the diabetic nurse. but, it will be 6 months before there is an available appointment.

Will just have to crack on for 6 months.
