Researchers are inviting people in England and Wales who have type 2 diabetes and who have taken part in the diabetes remission programme to contribute to an online workshop as part of the development of an NIHR doctoral fellowship project in the "pre-research" stage.

You would be asked to share their experiences of being reintroduced to whole foods and maintaining weight loss. Taking part will involve a one-hour call, and you’ll be reimbursed with a £25 voucher.

If interested, please contact: E.Bowes@leeds.ac.uk

For anyone unfamiliar with it, "PPI" is Patient and Public Involvement" - something the NIHR are committed to and now strongly encouraged to include in all research studies.

As a PPI delegate/board member/participant, you really are listened to and have the opportunity to help shape how studies and research move forward, and in some instances spawn other streams of work not previously considered.

Honestly, anyone wondering about it, just do it.

Unfortunately the 'diabetes remission program' was not available when I was diagnosed in 2016 so I doubt I'd be admissible evidence.
