April 20th will be the official 54th Diaversary of my Type 1 diabetes diagnosis when I was two years old. There’s been downs but also lots of ups.
On the Diaversary we will celebrate with a Chinese “fakeaway” and watching the latest Bridget Jones film. There will also be some recycled presents for me which I think is exciting. We are on a very tight budget but, even with my vow to reduce alcohol, I may be tempted to open a bottle of bubbly. I’m really excited about this Diaversary - showing that despite all of my health problems I’m still here and making the most of what I can do.
