Not sure if I'm allowed to post this (Northerner / mods please delete if not??) but just heard of a possible plan this govt has to cap the number of gp visits you are allowed in a year. Not good news for any of us I should think, I can't see the logic myself (well I have a theory but I can't expand on it without using expletives!). If you agree this is a daft idea please sign & share...

Crazy idea! I've signed.

That's fine Twitchy. I read about this yesterday, ludicrous idea, it would be unworkable :(

Hi Twitchy,

Signed - and left them a lovely message. They will be under no illusions as to my views on their proposal.😱🙂Bev

Signed.

If this was 1st April I would think ha ha ha - unbelievable!

Our doctor who is a lazy b**********d has done that off his own back, we often have to wait two or three weeks for an appointment and if anyone wants a home visit we end up in A&E or with an out of hours doctor

I'v signed and left a pithy comment too.

Also signed and posted on my facebook page. Shocking they even think of things like this, but then again nothing they do comes as a surprise anymore.

A few things spring to mind here.

Its a topic put forward for discussion amongst a political party, it's not policy its not a propoosal, it isjust a discussion topic. The people that took it from tbe discussion forum and into the public eye are labour and are just trying to scare people, well actually they are doing a good job. Also there are things inckuded in that discussiin that the oublic may want but that doesnt get a mention.

Let me re-assure people a little. If this does ever become policy it will be for the next manifesto and for that to have any effect they need to win the next election and even then theh will have to get it through parliament and the lords. Fear not is what I say no matter how much ed miliband wants you to worry.

I would add that it is dispicable that a simple duscussion topic should be used to worry and upset vulnerable people just to score a few political points. And the fact that they are even looking so deeo into whats being diacussed as oossible future policies to me shows that they cant find anything wrong with current policies.

Stop trying to shift the blame. This may well be 'merely' a discussion at the moment, but the mere fact that the man has come up with such a despicable notion puts him well beyond the pale. What sort of monster would imagine it's OK to put people's lives at risk in such a fashion?

And no, Labour haven't put this out there because they can't find anything else wrong with the current government's policies, there's plenty ammunition there too. Indeed, looking at it logically, the probability is quite high that someone on the inside passed it on to them in the first place and they were quite right to make the information public. It isn't scaremongering when there is a legitimate cause for concern.

Shift the blame?
Blame for what? Its a discussion nothing more and if anybidy tries to tell me labour never have such policy discussions I will call them a liar.

Thise trying to gain oolitical piints by scaring people for no good reason are dispicable low life scum.

It is not conservative policy to limit gp visits
It is not a policy proposal to limit GP visits

A few people having a conversation in a virtual pub is NOT a good reason to scare people.

I would say that as alan said it would be unworkable and add my own it would be unwise but how are people ever going to know this if you stop them from having the discussion in the first place. That is what is happening a griup of people are tryinv to stop a discussion by scaring people.
That is dispicable.

No-one is stopping the discussion, the discussion is being had right now. It's just no longer being held behind closed doors, in secret. Far better to see it out in the daylight where everyone can see it for what it is.
