Dear Nigel
Your HbA1c is 47 showing a marked improvement in diabetic control .
Well done. Dr R , SPMC
Positive on 2 counts 1 getting a good result after really struggling with my bloods after having Covid , 2 Just getting a positive response from my GP practice 🙂🙂🙂

I'd love to have Item 2 - how on earth could that happen? The recorded message you get immediately at our surgery now is 'There are no appointments available'. GP told Pete yesterday to book a COPD check with the COPD nurse so that's why he rang them today. Phone appt made.

How the hell do you do a COPD check over the phone ????

Well done! lovely to hear that your hard work paid off.

What do you think helped the most to improve your numbers?

Thank you .
After my bloods rose to the high 20's from getting quite ill with Covid I had a good chat with my diabetic nurse and alongside my Sukato 1000mg in the morning 500mg in the evening , she put me on Gliclazide 80mg 1 morning and 1 evening for a month then after that added Ozempic 0.25 once a week . So my meds are quite high ?
I've also maintained a fairly low carb regime , I'm now waiting for a call from her to review my meds to see if we can cut back on some of them

There's always a first for everything .
Had a phone call today from the hospital asking if I still need to book my physio appointment for my leg that my GP referred me for 10 months ago , it could have fallen off by now 🙂 it's no longer giving me as much trouble so I said no that way hopefully someone more in need will get an appointment

Well done @Billy Bob - and great that your surgery gave you such encouragement. 🙂
