I don't know whether this information has been posted before but I'd like to give credit to the fast food chain EAT for the way they deal with queries about the carbohydrate content of their products. EAT sell sandwiches, salads, hot soups, stews, cakes, biscuits etc, as well as the usual coffees and teas. You can either eat in or take away. I use them a lot, as I like their products. But what I really appreciate is that if I ask them about the nutritional content of what I am buying they just press a button on the till and the full thing is printed out and handed over. I'll try to attach a photo. In other places I have been directed to a barely visible shelf label, or they have pulled out an enormous file and spent several minutes trying to locate the item, or they just shrug their shoulders and say they can't tell me. I know I can estimate it all but there can be so many hidden sugars in food it's always an inexact science. This really makes life a lot easier. And it is such a simple and effective solution I am surprised that other outlets don't do the same. Well done EAT. I don't have any personal, occupational or financial connection to EAT. I just thought this was worth letting others know.

That’s really useful. I’ve had restaurants rummaging through files before, they’ve always tried to be helpful, but it is a cumbersome way of doing it, and looking stuff up on line, for me, means lugging my ipad around and connecting to the restaurants wifi, as I don’t have a smart phone. Eat seem to have got it nailed.

That’s really good. I try and look up online if I know we’re going somewhere but this would be so convenient.

It would be great if all restaurants and cafes supplied the info user friendly for diabetics etc.

Yes, there are normally gluten free, vegan, vegetarian, and allergen options and info available - I've often searched in vain for carbs listings. What a great idea!
