Hey guys,

So my family and I are going to the cinema. For the last few times, I haven't eaten Popcorn since its pretty hard to calculate. However, today I would like to try it and was wondering how much carbs you guys gave in for "small size sweet popcorn"

Thanks,
ICE_CREAM

Simple solution is go to the supermarket and eyeball a small pkt of popcorn look at the carb content then guess when at the cinema, problem solved :D

My daughter and I share a small one (which is easily big enough for two!), and by trial and error we have settled on 60g being about right for half the portion. Being on a pump we can do it on an extended bolus and spread the dose out over the duration of the film. We go to Showcase Cinema of that helps, I'm sure the portion sizes are probably not all the same in different cinemas!

Hope you have a good time 🙂

Interesting - that the sweet and salted aren't THAT far apart, isn't it? And not all that bad as a really naughty treat, all in all.

But the LARGE sweet one - WOW! - near enough as many actual calories as anyone normal needs for a whole day!

It is, I like salted popcorn as my treat on the odd occasion I fancy it, I always assumed salted would be a lot lower in carb, but not really. The large is ludicrous I don't know how some folk shove it all in, the last time I went to the cinema a bloke sat that and downed a large bucket, then turned up next to us in a nearby restaurant where he ordered a three course meal...I was amazed that he could pack in that amount of food 😱
