Hi, does anybody have any ideas why my family get 3 day colds but i am laid up for 10+ days? I am never just slightly ill but always really ill! Is there a link or is my immune system just shot to pieces? Thanks

Hello adb, welcome to the forum. 🙂 I should think you're more poorly because of the Type 2, everything seems to be more extreme with the D.

Welcome to the forum, adb.
Infections cause blood glucose levels to rise, and unless you are on insulin and can increase doses, it's difficult to control. So, colds can easily last longer. It makes infection control, to try to prevent getting colds, even more important. That mainly depends on lots of hand washing and disposal of tissues by whoever used them.

Thank you for your replies. I did think that was what it was but it's nice to have it confirmed 🙂
