Keep reading these are really good at lowering blood sugar any truth in that?

Like fruit need to chose the right ones

I hope so as ive just started putting them in my salads, lifts things so much!

Fruit contains sugar. The sweeter the fruit, the more sugar it contains. There is therefore no truth in the suggestion that pomegranate will lower your BG levels because they contain sugar (fructose) and in fact the opposite will be true to a greater or lesser extent. ie they will raise your BG levels, because your digestive system will release those sugars into your blood stream. If you are just using a few scattered over a salad then the impact will be relatively small. If you are eating a whole pomegranate and expecting it to help your diabetes, you will almost certainly be disappointed.

I doubt they have any particular BG benefit - there were crappy studies a while back which said they did but these haven't stood the test of time.

But they are doubleplus yummy & very nutritious - so unless you notice bad thigns happening with yr BG levels, go for it!

I remember as a kid having a pomegranate and picking out each seed individually with a pin then spitting the seed as far as you could. I can't stand them too much like hard work.
But 5g carbs per 40g 'seeds'

I could possibly eat a pomegranate if I ate no carbs all day and then had it as dessert, but it would have to be a really good example off its kind for me to do that.
Normally I stick to foods with under 11% carb, and I suspect that pomegranate is in the teens even considered as the whole fruit, not just the seeds.
