Double shot latte (full cream) is my sinful indulgence🙂 Puts my BG up exactly 2, so dead easy to correct.

I was told by dietician that heat or cold makes a difference to the way we absorb the sugar - so I'm not allowed fruit juice unless I'm hypo because otherwise it would spike me, but I can eat ice lollies which are just frozen fruit juice without any spike at all (in fact, if I'm not careful, more likely a hypo!).
How I wish that worked with ice cream!

I get mini milk lollies. Kind of like ice cream but only 6g carb each for any flavour.

I found options hot chocolate but then I opted for a Bournville Cadbury highlights hot chocolate as the carbon count was a bit lower not by much but I'll give it a go xx

I never thought of checking the carbon count.😉

Haha ahh I have a new phone bear with lol. I tried to write tescos yesterday but no instead I got 'testosterone' haha that could have been awkward lol xx

This is my recipe for

Low Carb Hot Choc
Boil kettle.
Add a heaped teasp of good quality cocoa powder to a big mug
Add 1.5 ish heaped teasp of sugar substitute to mug
Make the powders into a paste with a dribble of water (get rid of the lumps)
Add boiling water and stir until smooth
Top up with double cream.
Add caramel, lemon, orange or mint essences, if desired
Enjoy

All quantities adjustable

Very low carb, very indulgent, and you can add as much dairy/soya cream as you like, depending on your preferred level of fat intake. 🙂
Personally, I use about the same amount of cream as I would in a coffee (so just a dash then).

I have some 100% cacao powder. That should work well.🙂
