I just need some confirmation once and for all about sweeteners.
I have alot of contradicting information about artificial sweeteners. I thought they were safe, but after finding out that they are bulked out with carbohydrates (and STILL claiming to be safe for diabetics!) I'm pretty worried about them. I heard somewhere that these carbohydrates don't affect the blood sugar, or something. I'm just so confused.
Is consuming a lot of sweetener going to affect my blood glucose? Is there any in particular that are best for keeping blood glucose low? They all seem to claim they are safe, but my blood sugar is still sitting at 12.6, which to me is proving otherwise.
