I know there are lots of problems with takeaway pizza and that its best avoided altogether - but................ succumbed last night, and all i can say the diabetic fairy must've been busy elsewhere all night!!

Before food: 4.1, after 2 slices, took 6 humalog, another 2 slices pizza and garlic pizza, took another 4 units. Reading before bed 6.6, took usual 6 insulatard. Up at 4.30 and decided to test - 9.2. Up properly at 8am, blood now 7.1 ! Well chuffed!!

And the pizza was really scrummy!
 
You seemed to have pulled it off very well.......................you should try it again to see if the fairy was on a break or it was just good timing on your part..........

Nice one...well done! I always used to split dose with pizza 75% up front and 25% an hour later....try pasta next! 🙂
 
YYYEEEEEEEAAAAAAHHHHHHHH well done,but beware depending on your activity.. I have had the same results, 4 slices of pizza ( pizzahut ) 5.2 before i injected 12 units of rapid went upto 9.6 after 2 hours then i was 6.4 in the morning,then on other occasion it went to 9.8 in the morning.But at least we can eat stodge once in a while.lol🙂

If you can fine tune it a wee bit more you can eat it everyday, but no day is the same when it comes to the bodies hormones.....:(
 
SOunds like you got the balance right and the big plus is you enjoyed the pizza with nor problems afterwards...
 
WELL DONE!!!

I think I'll try this the next time I eat it. I've been avoiding it since I was carb-counting, but maybe it's time to give it a go.

Thanks all, the results were certainly encouraging, but as we all know, there's no guarantee that next time will be a success!
