After months, and months, and months, and months of great numbers with hardly any highs and very few hypos, I'm having a hypo day... and pizza. I haven't been dangerously low, no further down than 3.1 but it won't come up and stay up, I've been through the jelly babies/coke/toast and jam but without success so I decided on some serious carbs. No doubt I'll pay for it tomorrow. I don't know if the long gap between hypo days is down to the new-ish insulin regime or just the wonky pancreas finally giving up, maybe this is it's last gasp... I hope. Hypo days are absolutely the pits.

Aye, I had a day just like that a couple of weeks ago. At first I thought it was the Libre playing up, but blood tests confirmed the readings staying steadfastly below 4.0. No clue why it happened. Spent the next day filling up with corrective insulin. Who knows? I've given up trying to predict what my shabby pancreas might spring on me next. Fortunately such events are rare, I don't half get ratty when I'm hypo!

LOL. @mikeyB, me too! And being a girl, I can get away with crying all over everyone as well. I'm just waiting to see if the pizza works, but I'm up to 4.3 atm and eyeing a punnet of raspberries with greedy eyes - they ain't long for this world. I do get the munchies something fierce on days like this.

I hope that your levels sort out soon.

Oh yuk, hate hypo days, you spend most of the time wishing you could just eat food without all the faff and then hypo day hits and you get sick of eating 🙄. Hope it picks up soon 🙂

Pizza is probably the worst thing you could have eaten as it's so high fat it takes hours to hit the system then your blood sugar goes sky high and wont come down for ever and a day according to the posts I have read on the pizza effect.

Not if you're me it doesn't, LOL. I'm still only just above 4.0 almost four hours later and it's just not picking up, though there's time yet for the effect to hit. I had one slice simply because my poor brain was reeling by then and I wasn't tracking properly. It's odd because I don't normally feel the effects till I get below 3.0. Maybe because I haven't had a day like this is ages? My fingers hate me!

Hope you had a good night and things are much steadier today 🙂

I had a horrible night, didn't dare sleep long and had to test every two hours, no hypos thank dog but didn't get the horrendous high I expected either. In fact I'm still only just into the 5s this morning. Don't know what is going on, but at least I'm not 'dangerous' any more. I'll be testing more today and tomorrow as I have outs to accomplish that cannot be avoided. Jelly babies at the ready.
