Thank you for your responses to PET scan query.
I have now had some info from the hospital and thought it may be useful if anyone has to have one. For diabetics with BG levels over 11 it is a tricky procedure because of the high sugar content inserted.
 
Had my PET scan at Addenbrookes, Cambridge. After fasting my BG was 4.8mmol and after PET scan it was 4.4mmol! You have to respond to a questionnaire pre scan that asks if you are diabetic. And what your BG levels are. They and me were happy.
