Relationship to Diabetes

I've been performing some research into diabetes to try to better understand why I get some of the measurements that I do.

I came across the following paper from 1976: Nonketotic diabetes mellitus: insulin deficiency or insulin resistance? which basically identifies insulin resistance. Interesting it also hints that type 2's with a fasting blood glucose > 8 mmol/L are likely to suffer from both insulin resistance and insulin resistance (that figures!). I noted one of the authors was a R. Bernstein!

Unfortunately I only have access to the synopsis :( I was wondering if anyone had access to a medical library?

I also came across the following as well for anyone who needs something to help them sleep :D : The Genetic Basis of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus: Impaired Insulin Secretion versus Impaired Insulin Sensitivity

I don't have access to a medical library. I use all of these, but I usually start with Google Scholar. Sometimes the best source is not the one displayed but one of those that appear when you click on "All X versions". For example, the paper you mention also appears at http://www.amjmed.com/article/0002-9343(76)90536-2/abstract, but I am too much of a cheapskate to "Purchase this article for 30.00 USD (You must login/register to purchase this article)".
