My nice wife keeps buying them. Very low carbs & keeps you busy on a sat nt. V Good ! 😎

Do you mean fresh peas in the pod? I didn't think they were any different from shelled peas in terms of carbs?

You eat the actual pod? Like mange tout?

No you eat the Peas out of the pods. :D. I eat a lot of fresh Mange tout in Stir-Fry
That's why I was confused as I thought peas were quite carby as veg go.

Make use of the pods and make peapod wine.

I only know on Atkins Induction you're not allowed peas or carrots because they're quite sugary? S'okay if your Type 1 though, you just allow for that don't you? There's always an upside. 🙂

It's not quite that simple unfortunately, we still have to be a bit careful of spikes. However I wouldn't worry about carbs in most veg unless i was eating them with something else carby, it's just that Hobie said they were very low carb which is what confused me.

They are not exactly full of sugar are they ? If you where talking about bags of crisps or sweets. more than 51yrs of T1 & still eat them without any probs ?😉

No, only about 9% according to my book so definitely preferable to sweets. Mind you my step daughter was always convinced as a child that they are full of mashed potato! My Mum wouldn't allow my Dad to eat them because they had an antisocial effect. We didn't have them at home as a result. Not keen on them as a vegetable but haven't really considered them as a snack before now, thanks for the idea.
