Participants required for a study on the factors that predict quality of life in UK adults with type one diabetes.
Hello,
I am type one diabetic myself and am currently studying for a masters degree. For my research dissertation I have decided to link my research to type one diabetes as this is an area important to me and I would like to make contributions to the field. From personal experience being type one diabetic has affected my quality of life and I feel it important to conduct research to see what factors have an impact so we can produce useful interventions that aim to improve quality of life.
My supervisor and I are conducting study to explore what factors predict quality of life in UK adults with type one diabetes and are looking for participants who would be willing to take part. The research will take place virtually (online) and all that is required is a PC/ laptop or phone. You can do this from your own home or a comfortable space with limited distractions. The study involves answering some questionnaires and will last 10-15minutes.
We are looking to recruit anyone with a diagnosis of type one diabetes, who lives in the UK and is over 18 and is not currently taking medication or receiving therapy for a mental health condition.
This study was given a favourable ethical opinion by the School of Psychology Research Ethics Committee at Aston University.
“this study has been approved by @Ieva DUK and is not affiliated with Diabetes UK”
