I have been on both lisinopril and lipitor for about two months.
I did put a message earlier about it causing havoc with my sugar levels, but it seems to have sorted itself out.
Last week, I had to drive up North from the South up the motorway. As soon as I got on the motorway, I had (what I realised later to be) a panic attack. I have never had any in my whole life and I am not afraid of motorways or driving. But there it was - an uncontrollable panic attack while driving 70 in traffic.
I was gripped by an irrational fear that I didn't have control of the car. I really didn't know what to do other than slow down in the slower lane and let it pass and keep reminding myself that it is all irrational. I was fine for an hour and then it happened again.
When coming back the other way, I had another milder one, but I just got off the motorway and used an 'A' road all the way back (making my journey 1 hour longer).
I then researched that both lisinopril and lipitor can cause anxiety attacks but it is uncommon.
Has anyone else experienced this?
