Has anyone followed this programme?
My diabetes nurse encouraged me to sogn up but I am not sure how much I will benefit. Plus I find the planned phone sessions rather intrusive

Any thoughts?

I did.

My honest view is that it wasn't much help. The GP referred me to it (after some pushing from me) after I got the pre-diabetes diagnosis. The first problem was that it was then two months before the programme started. I was pretty motivated (scared) and spent that two months doing research (this forum is great) and making a real effort. That meant that by the time it started I had already lost about 8kg and was ahead of the game. It also meant that a lot of the stuff they were saying was things I had already learned myself, and they weren't able to answer the more specific questions that I had. I did carry on losing weight, but think that was more despite them than because of it

Having said that, it didn't hurt and I did get something from it. My view is generally the more support the better - if it doesn't work then you haven't lost much?

I had the first call from them today and told them I didn't want to continue. The first modules I looked at were very basic and after speaking to the "coach" today I didn't think there would be any point in committing to regular sessions

We have had a few on the forum who have found Oviva very helpful for them. It helped kickstart their weight loss, and that gave their metabolism a chance to recover a little.

But there aren’t really any one-size-fits-all solutions, and sometimes you are better off finding something that feels like it’s a good ‘fit’ for you.

@Kreator got on well with Oviva, and documented his weight loss experiences here:
