2. Only eat when you are physically hungry - if you aren’t hungry you have to ask yourself WHY you want to eat, that is, what uncomfortable emotion is driving you to eat (you need to feel that emotion, not eat it).

I've found this one particularly helpful recently after some distressing news & I ate through the night: about the same amount of calories on top of what I'd already eaten that day!
I also, did this a lot after losing my mum to cancer very suddenly in mid July 2015: diagnosed first day of June 2015 & passed 6 weeks later! It hit me very hard & now my sister is dying of cancer too!
