2 hrs After dinner yesterday my BG had gone up to 10.7.

it was either:

HP sauce
or
The fish - it was breaded frozen stuff with god knows what in the coating - I've had similar before, but without the spike.

Any thoughts?

HP sauce is quite sugary..... I love the stuff but only put the tiniest of dollops on my food these days.

It was prob a bit of both as both very carby :(
Looking on the bright side though, breaded fish is less carbs than battered fish.

I think most sauces like that are quite sugary. Like Steffie, if I was going to have any, it would be a smear. Long gone are the days of slapping the bottom of the bottle. 🙄

It also depends on where you started too.

Not either. Both. All the carbs eventually become blood glucose; your body doesn't discriminate on the nature of the source. But the coating was probably the primary offender.

It would be even more interesting to know what your one-hour numbers were. Read this to see why I say that: When To Test?
