I have used Libre and more recently the Medtronic Guardian link 3 sensors now.
Apart from the odd scratch when I took off the sensor I had not had a reaction, but this time...

Very ouchy.
What solutions have others found for a reaction?
I do wonder if it is more of a reaction to a new bubble bath which has got under the edge of the tape.
All ideas welcome

Do you use any barrier creams/spray?
I use Cavolin for my pump to reduce the reaction.

Thanks @helli , I will look into that.

I forgot to mention - Cavolin comes in cream and spray format.
The spray is best: I found the cream rather greasy

Do you get it on prescription or over the counter

An antihistamine like Piriton can help as well if you’re ok taking such things. I occasionally get reactions like that and they’re unpleasant. Keep it cool and aired and keep an eye on it.

You could apply for this barrier spray - https://trioostomycare.com/request-a-sample/

It's the Elisse product you'd want to click, I've never used it but do have a tin (as well as a tin of their removal spray that I've never used) in the cupboard
xx

Thanks @Kaylz.
Just sent a request for a sample.

Thanks Inka
I will watch and steer clear of that arm for a while.

They will probably call you in a few weeks if you provided a phone number to see how your getting on with it, it was the removal spray I initially applied for but when they called and I mentioned it was for my Libre the woman said she'd sent me out some barrier spray as well, she was really nice lol xx

Seeing that photo before I read further - my immediate reaction was that something had permeated under the edge cos otherwise the whole circle would be similarly inflamed, if not the entire area covered by the sensor and its edge. My money's on the bubble bath - but yeah, use a barrier spray for a bit 'in case',

Ooof! Was that with the Medtronic overtapes @SB2015

They did the same to me after 2-3 sensors, so I switched to self-funded overtapes.

Initially I used Opsite Flexifix, which is transparent. But then I switched to Hypafix, which is cloth-style, and easier to peel away which I needed for restarts.
